Scale & Polish

Most people can have a harmless build up of stain on their teeth which can make the teeth appear darker or yellower than they really are because it hinders natural light from shining through the teeth.

Stain removal will give a whiter brighter smile, a smooth feeling to the teeth and ultimately a more confident smile.

By cleaning in-between the teeth and in the hard to reach areas bacteria which cause inflammation of gums will be removed. These bacteria can lead to bad breath and gum disease if not removed.

Tartar removal will keep gums healthy, preventing or controlling gum disease which can eventually lead to tooth loss.

Gum Disease

Gum disease is normally caused by a build up of harmful deposits around the teeth. This can make the teeth feel rough or ‘furry’ and the deposits can start to grow underneath the gum causing more serious problems.

Along with redness and soreness, bleeding gums can be a sign of gum disease. Gum disease can cause destruction of the bone around the teeth which leads to gaps between the teeth and gum recession. The main reason for loose teeth is untreated gum disease which has destroyed the supporting structures of the teeth.

Having all harmful deposits removed will significantly improve the health of the mouth. Left untreated gum disease can lead to tooth loss.
